Thanks to the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust - Force for Change grant, every Thursday evening at Curzon Ashton Football Club we run our Veterans Night programme. Veterans Night is our free of charge cookery classes which is open to the Armed Forces community. Between 18:00 - 20:30, veterans, still serving, reservists, and family members can take part in some hands on cookery classes, working in partnership with The Veterans Food Company.

Every Thursday evening you can socalise with other like minded individuals, take part in some cooking, have a brew and a chat, find out what other Armed Forces programmes are availiable, play some recreational games such as table tennis, and sit down with other members of the Armed Forces community whilst you eat your freshly made tea.

Every third Thursday of the month we have an international night, chosen by the participants of the programme. Our first was a Jamaican night, second was Mexican, and our most recent was a Thai night. At our jamaican night we cooked a goat curry, mexican was a chilli with home made Navajo bread, and the Thai night was red thai curry and chicken satay.

On the last Thursday of the Month we host a Curry and Film night. Participants are welcomed with a ready made Curry, cooked and prepared by the chefs from The Veterans Food Company. Was you have sat down with you curry, we then proceed with the film which we all watch togehter. At our last curry and film club we sat togeher with a chicken curry whilst watching James Bond!
